A mom battling terminal cancer wants her husband to get back to dating when the inevitable happens. So, Sarah Reed, 37, teaches her hubby, Lee Reed, to woo women in the hopes "he would be happy again" when she's gone.
Sarah and Lee married only a month ago after four years of dating. It also took Lee a while to ask her out when they first met. Sarah remembered he even forgot his wallet on their first date.
As she prepared for her recent wedding, however, Sarah was also coming up with a list filled with dating advice for Lee, knowing her time is short. Sarah learned of her breast cancer in 2015 and the prognosis got worse.
Sarah endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery in her cancer fight. Doctors, however, revealed to the pair that her cancer spread to her ovaries and there was nothing else they could do, as per Daily Mail.
On her dating list for Lee, Sarah included her husband should find a woman who will be a good stepmom to her daughter Chloe. The 10-year-old, Sarah's child from a previous relationship, has autism, as per Fox News.
"The hardest thing about this is being a parent and having to explain to my 10-year-old autistic daughter that mommy is going to die," Sarah said on her GoFundMe page. The family established the page to help fund for a groundbreaking treatment in Germany. "I was given 2 to 5 years to live with treatment," she added.
Meanwhile, Sarah already instructed her husband to create an online dating profile. For his part, Lee felt "horrified" his wife would suggest such a thing. He said he wants to focus on taking care of Sarah but he also acknowledged and understood why she's helping him to date.
"I was upset but I understood it's her way of looking after me," Lee said. "In my eyes she is irreplaceable and I want to be her husband for as long as possible."
