Goran Dragic Reunited With Family in Miami: 'It's Awesome To See My Kids, My Wife'

Goran Dragic has had his problems on the hardwood but all that could soon change soon.

Though it wasn’t really mentioned before as a factor on why the performance of the Slovenian hotshot has dipped compared to the first time he donned the Miami Heat jersey, perhaps some 'family' reinforcement could somehow change all that and recall Dragic’s deadly form.

Dragic has hardly been a factor as of late for the Heat and has been struggling. After signing a fresh five-year pact worth $90-million, there were high expectations on the 29-year-old guard.

The difference between his arrival last February and today is that the Heat are in full force. At that time, Bosh had been taken out for the season due to blood clot found in his lung and Dwyane Wade was in and out of the lineup.

With a full plate, Dragic has found himself in the company of stars which no longer require him to do much other than orchestrate and take charge only when the need arises.

Perhaps his reunion with his family could be of help?

After a while Dragic can finally look forward to seeing his family as often as he can after his clan finally arrived in Miami.

His wife Maja and children (Viktoria and Mateo) are now within reach after months of finding a suitable home. It was far better than the previous setup for Goran seeing how an NBA season would eat up most of his time and barely giving him the chance to spend quality time with his loved ones.

"It's awesome to see my kids, my wife, and now we're all together. And after three months, it's going to be much easier," says Dragic via the Sun-Sentinel.

Dragic is an apparent family man and his teammates took notice, particularly teammate Dwyane Wade.

"I'm sure it was tough on him at times," says Wade. "I caught him on the plane a couple of times looking at pictures of his family, just on his computer. He's a real family guy and he missed them."

The whole setup may need a bit of getting used to for Goran, seeing his family nearby. And hopefully, the new setup can help Dragic recall his fiery form as the Miami Heat try to restore order and figure once again in the NBA Eastern Conference.

Though still early in the season, the Heat are at the upper hand of the standings at 6-3. That record technically does not include a regular-playing Dragic as we speak so one can just imagine how Miami would be with all cylinders rolling. Perhaps an additive in the form of the Dragic clan will help?
