‘Frozen 2’ Trailer & Release Date: Director Confirms Title Ending – What We Know So Far [Rumors]

The details for the highly anticipated "Frozen 2" are still in a hush. However, as early as now, rumors have been surfacing online on how Elsa, Anna, Olaf and other "Frozen" characters in Arrendale will change in the sequel. A report from Cross Map reveals that co-director Chris Buck reveals that "Frozen 2" already has an ending.

In an interview on ABC'S "One Plus One,” Buck talked about the process of making the sequel to "Frozen," which is an unexpected blockbuster hit of 2013 that raked over $1.6 billion worldwide.

"We have lots of things to figure out but at least we know where we are going," hinted Buck, who co-directs the film with Jennifer Lee. The award-winning director added that he takes the films he create seriously as it will be shown to the current generation.

"I take the films that I make very seriously, the messages and the morals that I'm trying to convey," he said.

In "Frozen," the Academy-Award winning animator said that he wanted to put a new perspective on the idea of love, different from those in classic fairytales. "Frozen" centers on the story of Queen Elsa and her sister, Princess Anna, who shows fear, courage and sisterly love.

Though there has been no official synopsis for "Frozen 2," Cross Map reports that the sequel is rumored to center on second changes and forgiveness, particularly Prince Hans who have betrayed Queen Elsa. The report notes that Prince Hans will be Queen Elsa's love interest, but before that comes true, it will take a lot of work to show the audience Prince Hans' good side.

Meanwhile, in other "Frozen 2" speculations, Parent Herald previously reported that Olaf, Elsa's funny snowman sidekick, will have a girlfriend in "Frozen 2." However, it is still unsure if Olaf's beau is human or is also made of snow.

In an interview with MTV News, Buck and Lee also teased that fans might see happier Queen Elsa in "Frozen 2." Buck said that after making "Frozen Fever," a short film that was shown before the live-action "Cinderella," they enjoyed showing the happier side of the Snow Queen.

“What was fun about the short, for me, was that we got to have fun with Elsa. In the movie, Elsa went through a very dramatic character arc, and in this one, she got to lighten up.” Buck said. “So then we started thinking about what we could do with all of these characters in another film. We had a nice happy ending at the end of the first one, but what’s next?"

Cross Map reports that "Frozen 2" is slated to have a 2017 release date.
