Actress Alana De La Garza Welcomes Baby Girl

Alana De La Garza, former "Law & Order" star gave birth to a girl on Sunday. The 36-year-old actress and husband Michael Roberts welcomed their second child, according to PEOPLE.

"[The second I saw her] I was just overwhelmed with pure joy and love. I know it sounds cliché, but that's exactly how I felt," De La Garza said.

The star also announced her new daughter's debut on Twitter.

"Sorry I've been MIA, thrilled to announce our lil' miss has made her debut! She is simply DELICIOUS!:) Liv Elena 7/7/13 8.8lbs of awesome!," De La Garza wrote. "Thank you everyone for all the love... She is amazing! #sayshermom :)"

Liv Elena Roberts weighed in at 8 pounds., 8 ounces. and measured 9.5 inches long. The couple is also parents to two-year-old son Kieran Thomas, who De La Garza said is cherishing his new role as a big brother.

"He was so excited and in awe! He kept kissing her forehead and saying 'Baby sista's not in Mama's belly anymore," she told PEOPLE. "It was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen and most proud I've ever been."

The actress announced that she was expecting a daughter in February, later adding that her son was excited to meet his new sister and loved playing with her pregnant belly.

"[Kieran] crawled in our bed to cuddle," De La Garza told Latina magazine. "Thirty seconds later, I feel him poking my belly again! I look over and say, 'Honey what are you doing?' He looks up at me and whispers, 'I'm playing with the baby!' I melted."

"It feels like our little family is complete," she said. "She's been here a week and I just can't imagine our lives without her."
