The Miracle Of Banana As A Cure To Treat Skin Cancer

Patients with skin cancer called melanoma have now hoped due to the black spot on the banana peel. Shocking as it may be to the medical world, researchers are now ongoing to confirm the issue as skin cancer is one of the deadliest types.

Scientists from various field confirmed last Monday that the black spots found in banana peel help for a faster skin cancer diagnosis for early detection that increases the chance of good prognosis, News Discovery reported. In addition, medical experts from the Laboratory of Physical and Analytical Electrochemistry in Switzerland is on its way to building a skin cancer scanner that allows for further examination of banana peel as a treatment for melanoma. The report added that the medical world hopes for the banana to help in the interpretation of biopsies and may be of use as chemotherapy to destroy cancer tumors.

The miracle of banana as the cure for skin cancer lies behind its round black spot that produces an enzyme called tyrosinase. According to GHR, the said enzyme is located in melanocyte which is responsible for skin pigmentation.  Medical experts are now considering tyrosinase present in the banana as a boosting factor for skin pigmentation that helps skin cancer patients.

Furthermore, the agenda of detecting skin cancer in the early stage is the main key for a higher chance of survival, Express.Co reported. Early stage may be the cure as skin cancer cell metastasis is not yet spreading to the other parts of the body. Meanwhile, banana peel spots have the same size of skin pigmentation which is a confirmation of possible application to skin treatment such as chemotherapy.

As of the moment, no confirmation from the medical world about the truthfulness of banana peels as a treatment for skin cancer as ongoing research is still conducted. However good results from various studies hoped for the possibility that it can treat melanoma in the future.
