Kandi Burruss Praises Breastfeeding For Her Post-Baby Body

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kandi Burruss, can't stop gushing over her newborn whom she welcomed earlier this month. Burruss gave birth to her first child, Ace Tucker, with husband Todd Tucker. Over the past weeks, Kandi can help but share her parenting journey.

One of the best things that she loved about being a mom, is the benefits of breastfeeding, according to E! News. She shared that it helped her lose weight.

On one of her Instagram posts, Buruss shared that breastfeeding her son helped her lose weight. She captioned the photo, "I'm smaller now than I was before getting preggers! That's what #breastfeeding can do for ya. Thanks @AceWellsTucker!"

Breastfeeding is highly recommended by pediatricians worldwide as it is the best source of food for infants. No supplement or over the counter formula milk can replace the nutrients derived from breast milk as it's been proven that breast milk is ideal for infants and event growing toddlers.

Web Md gave out a list of breastfeeding benefits. Not does it only nourish the child, but it also help the mother's body recover after childbirth. Though most people would claim that breastfeeding helped them lose weight, it is only half-true. Breastfeeding burns more than 800 calories per day, but the feeding mother needs to nourish herself as well to produce milk needed by the baby.

Aside from calorie burning benefits, Web Md also stated that, "It releases the hormone oxytocin, which helps your uterus return to its pre-pregnancy size and may reduce uterine bleeding after birth. Breastfeeding also lowers your risk of breast andovarian cancer. It may lower your risk of osteoporosis, too."

Breastfeeding is also the easiest and cheapest way to nourish and feed your child. It does not cost anything, and the best part is the fact that you'd no longer have to prepare and sterilize baby bottles.
