Christmas Is Not Over For Jennifer Lawrence: Still Giving Away $2 Million To A Children's Hospital

Jennifer Lawrence is not just a movie star, she is also a real life heroine who does not get tired of doing one good deed after another. The "Hunger Games" star is donating a staggering $2 million to a Children's Hospital in her hometown Kentucky. Now, this makes living in Kentucky a great privilege.

Indiana Express reported that the actress visited the Kosair Children's Hospital last Christmas, and was touched by the courage and strength of the children. In order to help alleviate the condition of the patients, the actress is generously donating a whopping $2 million.

The amount will set up the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in this hospital located in Louisville, KY. Since there is no perfected donation without acceptance, the hospital was very happy to accept the gratuity that was given by the Academy Award winning actress.

In a report by Yahoo News, Thomas D. Kmetz, Women's and Children's Services Division President of the hospital said, "We are thankful for the generosity shown by the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation with this gift." He further emphasized the hospital's gratitude by adding, "We are equally thankful that she has put her trust in the outstanding work taking place at Kosair Children's Hospital every day by challenging the community to join her in support of our heart care program."

The 25-year old actress and her family were inspired by the strength and courage of the children at Kosair. She also challenges others who can help in giving aid to the said children.

She mentioned this challenge in a video message saying, "As part of my effort to help these children and caregivers, I challenge the entire community to get behind this cause and help match my gift by raising an additional $2 million to support all of these brave and inspiring children."

With a good heart and a beautiful face, Jennifer Lawrence will continue to be "America's Sweetheart." At a young age, she has already raised the bar when it comes to giving meaning to the word "generosity."
