Madonna Cries On Stage For Losing Custody of Son Rocco

Madonna didn't stop her tears from falling as she dedicated her song "La Vie en Rose" to her son Rocco at a concert in New Zealand. The pop diva recently lost custody of her son after a judge ruled that the teenager should continue living with his father Guy Ritchie in London.

According to Daily Mail, the 57-year-old singer has accepted defeat over the custody of her son. She openly admitted that Rocco did not want to live with her anymore.

"There is no love stronger than a mother for her son. If I talk about him too much I might cry," she said before performing her song. "I hope he hears this somewhere and knows how much I miss him."

Yahoo News reported that Madonna and Ritchie are currently working out the final details of the custody deal. Madonna has agreed to concede custody of Rocco to her ex-husband as long as they make regular trips to the U.S. to visit her.

"It would be my fervent hope that discussions between the parties can reach an amicable resolution," said judge Justice MacDonald. "An amicable negotiated resolution is definitely the way forward and in Rocco's best interests ... Unfortunately, Rocco will have to experience additional emotional upset."

The custody battle started in late 2015 after Rocco left Madonna's side to fly to London to be with his father instead. The 15-year-old later disregarded an order from a New York court to return to his mother for the holiday season.

"The fact is Madonna has now accepted Rocco isn't coming home and that his home is now with his dad," one of Madonna's closest friends revealed. "Rocco wants to be with his dad but she won't give up being his mother."

Madonna wishes to still have a say regarding Rocco's education. She is also requesting that Ritchie would permit Rocco to spend time with her and her other children at least once a week. Lastly, she wants her ex-husband to provide Rocco with bodyguards whenever he goes to parties and other public events.
