'Deadpool 2' Cast & Plot Details: Another 'X-Men' Character Figures In Sequel? What You Should Know About CABLE

There will be more exciting action in "Deadpool 2" as it was confirmed another "X-men" character will be part of the sequel. Cable from the X-men universe was already hinted during the end of the first installment, but it looks like the character is going to figure in the next story in a big way.

"Deadpool's" producers and screen writers, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, confirmed the return of Nathan Summers, also known as Cable, for "Deadpool 2." "Yeah, we're on that path," Wernick told Indiewire. "We teased him in the coda, we're sticking to those plans and are having a great time writing."

Having Cable in the sequel could also mean introducing the female mercenary Domino in "Deadpool 2." The X-men character is Cable's love interest in the comic books series, per Heroic Hollywood. Keira Knightly portrayed Domino in the movie with the same name in 2005.

Here's what you have to know about Cable ahead of "Deadpool 2" theater release in 2018.

1) Nathan was introduced in the Marvel comic series in 1986 as a non-muntant, but he has mutant parents - Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor.

2) Nathan is from the future. His birth was initiated by Mister Sinister in the "X-Men" comics, who also genetically created Nathan's mother. Pryor was modeled after Jean Grey. Mister Sinister intended to use Nathan against Apocalypse, but the plan failed when the young child was infected with a techno-virus. Nathan was sent to the future to be cured of this virus. He eventually grew up as a cyborg in this environment.

3) Nathan as Cable also became a time traveler who forged alliance with the Mutant Liberation Front. The character's time traveling abilities was hinted in the first "Deadpool."

4) Cable makes use of big guns as his weapon and he's depicted as a large and heavily muscled-character it the comics. While strong, his powers sometimes fail due to the virus in his system.

5) MTV reports that Cable and the Merc With The Mouth has teamed up on many occasions in the comics for 50 issues, which is why the character will be such an integral part in the sequel.
