Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder Split: ‘Delena’ Reunion Not Happening; Actress Flirts With Vin Diesel On Set Of ‘xXx’ Movie

The most-awaited Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder reunion on "The Vampire Diaries" may not be happening anytime soon. The 27-year-old actress has shown no interest in reprising her role as Elena Gilbert in the CW series, as she recently shared a flirty post with her "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" co-star, Vin Diesel.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are not likely to get back together in front of the cameras anytime soon for the most-awaited "Delena" reunion on "TVD." According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Dobrev appears to be enjoying her time and career away from the CW series.

As most fans and viewers can recall, Dobrev decided to leave "The Vampire Diaries" after Season 6 in order to focus on doing movie roles. Now, it looks like Dobrev is having the time of her life on the set of her upcoming film, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

Nina Dobrev reposted Vin Diesel's video clip of them on the set of the movie on her Instagram account. Diesel praised Dobrev in the caption of his video, which reads: "Actors like Nina make every scene better... She does Hot/Sexy/Hilarious effortlessly."

The actress responded to Diesel's praise with a joke, saying that she paid Diesel to say all those good words about her.

With Nina Dobrev seemingly enjoying her time playing roles in different movies, it looks like fans' hopes to see her and Ian Somerhalder back together is still far from reality. Inquisitr reports that Dobrev may be joining the cast of "The Originals" as a form of revenge on her ex-boyfriend, Somerhalder.

According to the outlet, Dobrev may be thinking of joining the "TVD" spinoff series in order to get her revenge on Somerhalder and his wife, Nikki Reed. Dobrev was reportedly hurt when Reed moved to Atlanta with Somerhalder while they were filming the CW series.

However, it looks like the rumors are not true and Nina Dobrev is not considering a role in "The Originals" nor is she interested in returning to "The Vampire Diaries" anytime soon.
