School On Spotlight: The Dragon - An Elite Prep School In Oxford Housing The Finest Actors Of Today

If you haven't heard of Dragon School, then it is time to get yourself familiar with Britain's top prep school located in Oxford, England. This school has housed some of the finest actors in Hollywood, namely, Tom Hiddleston of "Thor," Hugh Laurie of "House" and Emma Watson of the "Harry Potter" series, just to name a few.

The Guardian shared that the dons who were once part of Oxford University founded Dragon School back in 1877. They intended it for their own kids and it has been an institution known for its high-quality education since then. Most prep schools are exclusive for boys or girls, except for this one because it is co-educational.

Parents also have the option to place their child in their boarding school program, which costs £9,340 per semester. They could pay less for the price of £6,480, if they choose to have their child attend the school's non-boarding program. Dragon School, for several years, has been managed by only one family, known as the Lynams.

In an interview with Run Riot Magazine, actor Tom Hiddleston shared some of his fondest memories while he was at the Dragon School. "It was an absolute riot," Hiddleston said, as cited by Oxford Times. "I don't remember 'learning' anything, and yet I learned everything."

This school calls their alumni as "Eminent Dragons," and one of their famous alum is Emma Watson. It is no wonder why she nailed the role of Hermione Granger in "Harry Potter." Her background going to a prestigious prep school like the Dragon School has definitely given her an advantage to pull that character off.

The Dragon School has facilities that resemble Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For those who are intrigued and are even thinking of sending their kids to this school, visit their main website or simply watch the video below to get a feel of it.
