Never Leave Your Kid Alone: Toddler Dies After Getting Tangled In The Window Blind Cords

A 16-month toddler dies after being left by grandparents for just a few seconds. Bronwyn Taylor was proclaimed dead after being found tangled in the window blind cords in her grandparents place.

Metro reports on the tragic death of a toddler who unexpectedly got caught in the window blinds, prompting her parents to speak out and warn other parents of the possible tragedy. "We are probably the most protective couple out there but there are dangers everywhere," Bronwyn's dad told Metro.

Bronwyn was left at her grandparent's house in Stoke-on-Trent with her older brother, Boden, who has cerebral palsy. The grandparents thoughtfully offered to babysit the kids while Mr. and Mrs. Taylor went out to the theatre with their other two sons.

Parenting said that the little girl was just left on her own for a few seconds, but the girl somehow managed to pull down the window blinds, which was rolled up for twenty years. "We just don't know how it happened, nobody does know what happened," the 40-year-old plumber lamented.

It just took a few seconds for the terrible accident to happen. Paramedics found little Bronwyn in cardiac arrest. She was pronounced dead shortly after she was rushed to the Royal Stoke University Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Mrs. Taylor calls Bronwyn as the "best little girl" and just devastated with what happened. Now, Bronwyn parents are telling everyone that you can't be too careful when it comes to your child's safety. "There's always something somewhere so when you go home have a look around and check everything," Mr. Taylor warned other parents.

Parenting website echoes Mr. Taylor's sentiments. They recommend parents to check any potential danger not just in their own homes, but also in any home that your child will stay in. If possible, childproof the house.

Bronwyn death will not be in vain as her parents raise awareness of the dangers of window blind cords. More so, they are also raising funds in her honor to benefit the Donna Louise Children's hospice. To know more about window blinds safety ,check out the video below:
