There is a new trend in education that is sweeping the country these days and it is called "homeschooling." Lots of parents have resorted to this kind of style in educating their children because they find it more practical. There are many reasons why most parents choose homeschooling their kids and today, you will find out more about it.

This kind of education started back in the '70s and it is all because of John Holt along with Dorothy and Raymond Moore. They were the ones who introduced this idea as an alternative education apart from the traditional dorm and public schools. Statistics show that over 2 million kids are now involved in the program of homeschooling in America.

The Prerequisites Of Homeschooling

According to Parents.com, the requirements for this type of education differ from state to state in the U.S. There are some that don't require a lot while others have no requirements at all. Some institutions also ask for standardized testing. But the most important requirements are for parents to be interesting and energetic teachers to their kids. They must be passionate and patient the whole time they are on the job. It is also a must that they keep their kids happy while learning something new.
