Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Engagement: 'Thor' Actor's Brother Denies Giving 'Wrecking Ball' Singer A Ring

"Thor" actor Chris Hemsworth's brother Liam finally confirmed all the speculations over his supposed engagement with Miley Cyrus. Liam Hemsworth denied giving the "Wrecking Ball" singer that proverbial ring as the "Hunger Games" actor stated that he and Cyrus are not engaged.

Entertainment Tonight reports that despite the non-engagement Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are definitely a couple. The former Disney star and Liam Hemsworth reportedly came to the premiere of "The Huntsman: Winter's War" together. Elder brother Chris Hemsworth top-bills "The Huntsman: Winter's War" with co-stars Charlize Theron and Emily Blunt.

Liam Hemsworth explained this his having kept a low-profile recently is from a back injury rather than domestication. "For the last few months because I had a back injury, I really couldn't do much," Liam Hemsworth clarified. "So I have honestly been at my house most of the time."

Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had been engaged to each other before a public break up. The couple only recently reunited setting the mill buzzing over whether or not Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth will reboot their engagement soon. While the "once bitten twice shy" maxim would apply, Cyrus had been seen wearing the old engagement ring that Liam Hemsworth gave her triggering speculations. Given the confirmation Liam Hemsworth gave, this apparently is not the ring that the "Wrecking Ball" singer would be wearing when the engagement finally takes place.

In general, both Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth prefer to stay in the down-low about their relationship. Gossip Cop reports that although Liam Hemsworth denied the engagement, he did not officially confirm that he and Cyrus are going out either. The media agency pointed out that Cyrus simply chose to wear her old engagement ring to accessorize rather than to announce that she will soon be Mrs. Liam Hemsworth.
