‘Prison Break’ Season 5 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Updates: William Fichtner Reprises Role As FBI Agent Alexander Mahone?

"Prison Break" Season 5 spoilers reveal that production has already begun for its expected release this late 2016. According to Metro, several cast members of the Fox revival have been sharing photos of their reunion on their respective social media accounts.

Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper and Rockmond Dunbar, who play the roles of Sucre, T-Bag and C-Note, respectively, recently shared a video of themselves back on the set of "Prison Break" Season 5. Dominic Purcell, who plays Lincoln Burrows, also shared a "mugshot" photo of himself on Instagram.

Other returning cast members for the "Prison Break" revival include Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield), Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr. Sara Tancredi) and Paul Adelstein (Paul Kellerman). The publication notes on the possible return of William Fichtner as FBI agent Alexander Mahone.

In the previous seasons of "Prison Break," Mahone was the one who was continuously searching for Michael, thirsty to put him behind bars. Details about his possible return, however, are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, The Express Tribune reports on Faran Tahir's new role in "Prison Break" Season 5 as Jamil. According to Tahir, he received an offer to play a role in the nine-episode series.

"The beauty of the show is the reunion of all these loved characters with the inclusion of some new ones. What I can say is that the story has been taken forward in a very smart way," he said.

"Prison Break" Season 5 will see the return of Michael after seemingly dying in the Season 4 finale. Sara has also moved on with her new husband, Scott Ness.
