Study: Cheating Has Some Benefits Too; It Can Make You A Better Person

While it's heartbreaking to be cheated on, you should not give up on tomorrow and in finding a new love because according to a new study cheating has some advantages, too. In fact, it can make you a better person.

Women Who Lost Their Unfaithful Partner Is Still The Winner

There is no doubt that dealing with a cheating husband and his infidelity is painful, but per the reports, when a woman loses her unfaithful husband or partner to another woman, the wife can still be the winner in the long run and the new woman in his life is the ultimate loser, per Daily Mail Online.

Dr. Craig Morris, an evolutionary biologist at the University of New York, explained that there is also an evolution in relationships. This evolved mechanism and responses may lead to ending a relationship.

"Our thesis is that the woman who 'loses' her mate to another woman will go through a period of post-relationship grief and betrayal, but come out of the experience with higher mating intelligence that allows her to better detect cues in future mates that may indicate low mate value," Morris said.

"Hence, in the long-term, she 'wins'. The 'other woman', conversely, is now in a relationship with a partner who has a demonstrated history of deception and, likely, infidelity," he added. "Thus, in the long-term, she 'loses'."

Losing A Cheating Partner Makes A Woman Better

According to AOL, the study surveyed 5,705 individuals in 96 countries and learned that women who have been cheated are wiser. They become more psychologically attuned to making better choices in choosing their future partners.

They can easily spot the characteristics of a cheater and avoid them altogether. With this developed skills, they have higher chances of ending up with the man that can be true to them.
