'Pokemon Sun' And 'Pokemon Moon' News & Updates: Titles To Include A Pokemon Translator?

Pokémon fans are looking forward to the arrival of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." While the duo titles are still in the dark, new reports claim that it will include a translator.

"Pokémon Sun" And "Pokémon Moon" Translator Feature

According to GameNGuide, "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" will include a "Pokémon Cry Translator." This feature was originally planned for "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y." Unfortunately, it was not pushed through.

New reports are now suggesting that the "Pokémon Cry Translator" will be realized in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon." This feature will be very helpful to players because it will make them understand what the Pokémon is saying.

"But one thing that I wanted to put in that didn't quite make it was a translating machine for Pokémon cries, to find out what they're saying," Junichi Masuda, director of "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon," told Nintendo Life. "So you have this machine and when a Pokémon cries out something, text would appear telling you exactly what that Pokémon is saying."

More Than A Better Gaming Experience

Masuda's plan of adding a Pokémon translator was not just to make the gaming experience for "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" better. He said that he wanted it because the idea will not work for the competitors, which will be an edge for the franchise.

Unfortunately, they failed to implement it. Hopefully, this feature will be available in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."

According to Masuda, it will take too much time to implement it because there are over 600 Pokémon and the amount of text would be huge. Adding the Pokémon translator is a challenging task but not impossible.

'Pokémon Cry Translator' In Future Games 

Masuda hinted that adding the "Pokémon Cry Translator" might make it into their future games. "This could be something that might appear in future games, but it sadly didn't make X and Y," he said. Many are hoping that this feature will now be available in "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."

"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" are expected to arrive at Holiday 2016. So we will soon find out if it will finally include the translator.
