'Frozen 2' Release Date, News & Update: Fans Want Elsa To Have A Girlfriend; 'Frozen' Sequel Will Have The First LGBT Princess?

LGBT is unrepresented in most cases. However, LGBT has received a growing support from the community in the past years. Soon they will be recognized equally as straight men and women in their rights, in the government and in the entertainment industry. In fact, according to reports, the main character of "Frozen 2," Elsa will be the first LGBT princess.

Elsa And The LGBT Community

In the first "Frozen" film, Elsa felt unaccepted due to her power. She thought that it could harm the people around her so she locked herself in her room. However, things changed the moment she started to accept herself and recognize her potentials.

The same scenario applies to the members of the LGBT. It took years for many to get themselves out of the closet. In fact, some others are still in denial of their true selves. This makes Elsa a good representation of the LGBT community. In fact, per Independent the "Frozen" theme song, "Let It Go" has become a major gay anthem.

Elsa Will Have A Girlfriend In 'Frozen 2'

According to Metro, many "Frozen" fans want Elsa to have a girlfriend in "Frozen 2." The Queen of Ice did not have a love interest in the first film, will she have a female love interest in "Frozen 2?"

Per the report, several "Frozen" fans expressed their inclination of seeing Elsa having a girlfriend in "Frozen 2." They used the hahstag #GiveElsaAGirlfriend pleading Disney to provide an LGBT storyline in the upcoming film.

Since "Frozen 2's" majority audience will be kids, giving into this request will include a little controversy depending on one's perspective. However, the LGBT community is positive that this will help young kids to accept the fact that love comes in all forms.
