'Kingdom Hearts 3' Release Date, News & Update: 'Final Fantasy 15' Arrival Causes The Delay Of 'KH3'

Many fans are still waiting for the arrival of "Kingdom Hearts 3." Unfortunately, Square Enix remains tight lipped as to when the game will be out. New reports claim that the delay of "KH3" was due to "Final Fantasy 15."

According to University Herald, "Kingdom Hearts 3" might be delayed again. The title will be pushed back to 2017 as Square Enix prepares for the release of their other title, "Final Fantasy 15." "Final Fantasy 15" is slated for release later this year.

Maybe Square Enix is prioritizing "Final Fantasy 15" and do not want a competition to broil against their two anticipated titles. If they release "Kingdom Hearts 3" along with "Final Fantasy 15," gamers might be caught in the middle.

Bandai Namco also uses this approach in their "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" crossover game, "Tekken X Street Fighter." Parent Herald reported that team halted the development of the title because Capcom just released "Street Fighter V."

"When we develop fighting games, we try to keep the core community in mind as well as the wider audience that wants to play these games," "Tekken 7" producer Katsuhiro Harada told GameSpot. "We don't want to split these communities, so a good window in which to release Tekken x Street Fighter is something that's become difficult recently. So it's on hold for the moment."

Clearly Square Enix is also looking things at the same perspective, if they release "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 15" at the same time. Thus, "Kingdom Hearts 3" fans should keep their patience.

Quinton Flynn Has Not Started Recording For 'Kingdom Hearts 3'

Also, Axel, voice actor, Quinton Flynn announced that he has not started recording for "Kingdom Heart 3" yet, suggesting that the title is not done. "Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills!"

One fan asked him if he has not started any recording for "Kingdom Hearts 3" and Flynn had an affirmative response. There are still lots of things to work on for "Kingdom Hearts 3." If the game is delayed until 2017, we hope that it will be released in the first quarter of the year.
