‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ Release Date, News & Updates: 3 Latest Scoops About Studio Wildcard’s Dino-Themed Video Game

Dinosaur lovers and enthusiasts alike are getting more excited about the upcoming release of Studio Wildcard's "ARK: Survival Evolved." Unfortunately, its full release has been moved for 2016 holiday season instead of its initial June 2016 release date.

After squashing the fears about "ARK: Survival Evolved" cancellations because of a Trendy Entertainment lawsuit, the release date delay, however, disappointed many fans. But Studio Wildcard recently revealed the reasons for the delay plus 3 latest scoops about the soon-to-be-released dino-themed game.

1. "ARK: Survival Evolved" New Console Servers

To boost "ARK: Survival Evolved" performance, Studio Wildcard reportedly migrated the European servers to "faster machines." According to Inquisitr, 144 EU servers were migrated to a better hardware but the North American servers for "ARK: Survival Evolved" were not impacted by the upgrade.

"About a 30% upgrade from the previous machines they were on," an official message reads.

"ARK: Survival Evolved" is currently in a pre-alpha state, as it is in early release for the Xbox Game Preview Program, hence, the game is highly un-optimized. So, Studio Wildcard is concentrating in adding content and additional features but once done, they'll be improving the game's performance.

2. "ARK: Survival Evolved" Official Mods Program

Studio Wildcard is set to launch two mods in "AEK: Survival Evolved." The first one is a map known as "The Center." This mod will reportedly "double the size of the current game" and feature additional biomes, floating islands and whatnot.

The second mod, on the other hand, is dubbed "Primitive Plus." This is a mod will limit the players to only wood and stone on all "ARK: Survival Evolved" maps.

"We really appreciate and value the hard work and effort that goes into the mods from the community and will do what we can to help, this new program is another step we're going to take to ensure that modders get all the support they need and are recognized for their contribution and efforts in ARK," Studio Wildcard said in a statement, as per Daily Express.

Meanwhile, "ARK: Survival Evolved" Official Mods program will go live this May. "The Center" will be available for Xbox One and PC while "Primitive Plus" is already available on the PC but has yet to arrive on the console.

3. "ARK: Survival Evolved" Features

The full game release for "ARK: Survival Evolved" has been delayed to holiday 2016 across the PC, Xbox One and PS4. The reason? Studio Wildcard is adding several features and content and since the additions take a lot of hard work, "ARK: Survival Evolved" developers decided to delay its release, Tech Times notes.

"We never anticipated adding modding, local multiplayer, split screen, or numerous other upcoming features," Studio Wildcard cofounder Jesse Rapczak said, as per GameSpot. "The game at launch will be far more robust than originally conceived, but it takes a little extra time to wrap it all up."
