Chris Brown arrested for undisclosed reason

Chris Brown was arrested on a warrant without bail for an undisclosed reason Friday, officials say.

"I can confirm Chris Brown was arrested on a warrant," a Los Angeles County Sheriff source told the Daily News.

Probation officials involved in his latest case will ex-girlfriend Rihanna issued the warrant, and also said that he was cooperative during the arrest, which occurred in Malibu at the facility where he was seeking anger management treatment.

No other details were revealed as to the reason for the R&B singer's arrest, and there was no word on when he would have to appear in court.

The 25-year-old's probation was supposed to be lifted at the end of this year for his 2009 assault on Rihanna, until a judge revoked it after an incident in October in which Brown was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in Washington, D.C. That case is pending.

Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin rejected a Los Angeles prosecutor's request to send Brown to jail because of the Washington case based on his progress in rehab.

Brown had been sent to rehab to receive treatment, and was also under strict orders to complete 1,000 hours of community service this year. A Feb. 26 probation report stated that the "Forever" singer had already completed 250 hours and was being cooperative with probation officials.

The report also detailed that the music mogul had been recently diagnosed with bipolar II disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and "severe" insomnia. Brown also has a history of past substance abuse.

But the Grammy winner was kicked out of the Malibu rehab facility when he reportedly violated the center's "internal rules," although the infractions apparently did not include violence or drug use.

Brown was expected to remain in in-patient treatment as his lawyers worked to resolve the Washington, D.C. case.
