'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Air Date & News: New Video Shows Obama Talking About fsociety Hackers; Shayla Is Alive?

The hacker series "Mr. Robot" has released a new promo video for Season 2. This time, it has President Barack Obama talking about the fsociety and Tyrell Wellick. Some answers to their conspiracy will hopefully be answered when the show returns on July 13 on the USA Network.

"They caused a lot of damage," Pres. Obama said in the clip that was posted on Who Is Mr. Robot. "We can confirm that Tyrell Wellick and fsociety engaged in this attack," Obama further said. "We will respond proportionally, and we will respond in a place and time and manner that we choose."

Radio Times reports that if you type in "fivenine" on the site, then Obama's video will appear. Who is Mr. Robot was set up to feature Easter eggs, behind-the-scenes and snippets to "Mr. Robot" Season 1, but it appears like a hacker's site to follow through on the show's theme. The Obama video was actually dubbed to refer to fsociety and Tyrell Wellick as part of its promotion. You can watch the video at the end of this article.

'Mr. Robot' Season 2 Plot, Storyline

TV Line reports that Grace Gummer has been cast as the FBI agent and her character is tasked to head the search for fsociety. But aside from this storyline, "Mr. Robot" Season 2 will also expound on the character's back story, especially Elliot's (Rami Malek) problems.

"The series is filling in the blanks of the past and the present of this character," said series creator Sam Esmail via Entertainment Weekly. "It's about a guy who becomes aware of this delusion he's been having."

'Mr. Robot Season 2 Dead Character Returning

Speculations abound that a dead character from the first season of "Mr. Robot" will be in the second season. Elliot's girlfriend, Shayla, was killed early in the series, but the actress, Frankie Shaw, was recently on the set. Esmail posted her photo with Malek on Instagram.

However, Shayla's return could be a flashback scene or part of Elliot's hallucinations since it's no secret that the character is suffering from a mental disorder. What do you think "Mr. Robot" fans - is Shayla's return for real or just a figment of Elliot's imagination? Sound off in the comments!
