‘Attack on Titan’ Season 2 Air Date, News & Update: Wit Studios Manga Series Delayed Again? Slated To Be Released In January 2017?

Several fans of the "Attack on Titan" series were devastated when the show has bid goodbye to small screens. Now, new reports are claiming that followers of the hit TV show have to wait a little longer as the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 has been moved to  January 2017 release.

Rumor mills are spreading that the upcoming "Attack on Titan" Season 2 was already confirmed to air on January 2017. Thus, proving the speculations that the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is completely ditching its supposed October 2016 air date.

Mision Tokyo have already confirmed the delay of the "Attack on Titan" Season 2. The Spanish manga website claimed that a certain TV network has requested the rights for the highly-anticipated second installment of the "Attack on Titan" TV series but it manga publisher Kodansha has decided not to grant its appeal.

Additionally, it has already been confirmed that the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will not be released in 2016. Rumor mill is spreading that the much-awaited sequel "Attack on Titan" has been rescheduled to air in January 2017.

'Attack on Titan' Season 2 to follow different plot

While the reason for the delay of the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 was not revealed, several fans have speculated that Wit Studios had not received the manga material yet. Reports about "Attack on Titan" Season 2 following a new and improved plot line have been circulating on the internet for quite some time now.

Also, there were also reports saying that Wit Studios is currently focusing on another anime series titled "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," which is set to premiere Spring 2016. In other words, it seems like "Attack on Titan" Season 2 is not a priority at present time.
