Prom Night Gone Wrong: 2 Teens Died In Car Crash After Prom

Prom nights are said to be memorable, but for these two teens who died in a car accident hours after they attended their high school prom, their parents will remember that day as a fateful one. The two teenagers died tragically when the car hit the tree while there were two others who were seriously injured.

Car Slammed Into A Tree

The two teenagers, 17-year-old Daisia Sulton, and 15-year-old Mikayla Mosley, went together to attend their prom at Bridgeton High School. After the event, the two, together with Zyiah Stocks, 16, and Jada Barriento, 17, were on the road when the vehicle they were riding slammed into a tree.

According to New York Post, the four students were on Route 49 in Maurice River Township when they met the accident. It was about 3:45 a.m. when it occurred. The driver, Daisia Sulton, was killed immediately. Mikayla Mosley was rushed to the hospital but she died upon arrival. It was quite fortunate that the two other occupants escaped death but they also sustained injuries.

Car Out Of Control

Fox 8 reported that Sgt. Jeffrey Flynn, said that the car lost control when it was going around a curve. When the car was out of control, it crossed over to the other side and hit the tree. There was no mention whether the girls were intoxicated or if there were drug traces on their system.

According to Flynn, Zyiah Stocks is still in critical condition. On the other hand, Jada Barriento is already stable. Although these two girls have survived, the death of Sulton and Mosley still caused a pain to the school.

Bridgeton school superintended Thomasina Jones said that the girls who died are in 10th and 11th grades. She said that the hearts and prayers of the school go out to the families of Sulton and Mosley. They are also praying for Stocks and Barriento who are still in the hospital.
