Celine Dion Talks About René Angélil’s Death: ‘My Heart Will Go On’ Singer Draws Strength From Her Children, Uses Disney Movie To Tell Father’s Death

Celine Dion finally opened up about the death of his late husband, René Angélil, and admitted that she's having a hard time on his death. However, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer drew his strength from her children, the 15-year-old René-Charles Angelil and the 5-years-old twins Nelson Angelil and Eddy Angelil.

"My boys give me so much strength," Celine Dion said in the new cover story of People. The 48-year-old star revealed that losing René Angélil gave her a major heartache but, unfortunately, she has her three kids beside her.

Celine Dion also found it hard to tell to her two young children, Nelson and Eddy, that René Angélil was now gone. The Canadian Singer opted to break the news to her kids using the Disney movie, "Up," Hollywood Life cited.

Celine Dion waited more for a couple of days before she told Nelson and Eddy that they will never see René Angélil again. "I did not want to relate the passing to doctors and have them be afraid," she said.

Celine Dion described that she gave Nelson and Eddy a glitter and balloon party before René Angélil's interment. From there, the Canadian star compared the deceased musical producer to the balloons in the movie "Up," flying away and bound to never return.

Moreover, Celine Dion was still longing for René Angélil, but only when he still had a good health. But, she explained that she can't be self-centered and have to end the suffering of his spouse, as per CNN.

In fact, Celine Dion now "feels at peace" and called René Angélil the love of her life. She was now trying to move one and staying to be strong for his sons, René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy.

Meanwhile, Celine Dion is set to perform at Billboard Awards on Sunday and to receive an Icon Award. The hitmaker will sing her own rendition of Queen's "The Show Must Go On," as René Angélil believed that the act should always continue.
