'Deadpool 2' Rumors, News & Updates: Ajax Actor Ed Skrein Teases Of A New Anti-Hero; Taskmaster Could Join Ryan Reynolds?

The success of "Deadpool" was unexpected. The epic success in the box office has sparked a new era of how heroes and villains are categorized. Also, it appears that "Ajax" actor Ed Skrein has teased of the high probability of the "Taskmaster" joining the epic sequel, "Deadpool 2."

Given the circulating rumors that the next villain for the sequel of "Deadpool 2" might just be around the corner, many are wondering about who it might be. As for Ed Skrein, who played Ajax in the said film, rendered his whims of having another anti-hero join the scene.

According to an interview with IGN, "The Taskmaster is just you know, so fun. ... to see Taskmaster and Wade Wilson/Deadpool together is so funny - watching them play in the Daniel Way collection they have these incredible riffs. He's a mercenary like Wade Wilson but he's a mercenary without morals." Skrein said. "The only redeeming factor of Deadpool is his morals, right? Taskmaster does not have those morals, so he back-stabs and stuff like that," as added by Skrein.

Ecumenical News reports that Cable is already regarded as the unconventional hero's main antagonist in the next "Deadpool" movie. To prove the latter, "Deadpool" director Tim Miller has already affirmed the high probability of Cable in a "Deadpool" movie. Even Miller acknowledges the fact that if there were no antiheroes on the scene, it would affect the overall standing of the movie franchise.

Although there have been rumors regarding the "Deadpool" and its sequel. There have not been any full affirmations that the Taskmaster would return and be the anti-hero that the fans and followers have been expecting.

On a different note, it is not only the cast and characters that are not yet affirmed but even the airdate of "Deadpool 2" remains a mystery. For the enthusiasts, it has been speculated that "Deadpool 2" is slated for release in theaters within the late months of 2017 or early 2018.
