Theo James and Ruth Kearney have been engaged for quite awhile now but the "Divergent" series actor has not yet finalized his wedding plans with his girlfriend. While rumors have been speculating that Shailene Woodley is the reason behind the delay, a new report suggests that the 31-year-old actor is sacrificing his personal life to get the role as the new James Bond.

Theo James and Shailene Woodley dating rumors have been buzzing online since the two starred in the "Divergent" series movie adaptation as Tobias 'Four' Eaton and Beatrice 'Tris' Prior, respectively. Rumors previously claimed that the stars' onscreen and behind-the-scenes chemistry has been causing problems for James and his girlfriend, Ruth Kearney.

There have also been rumors that Theo James and Ruth Kearney's wedding may have been put on hold due to Shailene Woodley. According to Asia Starz, James chose to keep his wedding to Kearney on hold while the last installment to the "Divergent" movie franchise, "Ascendant" has not yet aired on cinemas.

However, a recent report from Master Herald suggests that the reason behind the couple's delay in their wedding may be due to the James Bond role. James is believed to be one of the best actors to fill in for the role of Agent 007 after Daniel Craig.

The publication notes that taking the role of James Bond for the upcoming 007 movies entails a lot of duties and responsibilities. Sacrifices have to be made, which means that James and Kearney's wedding may be put to a much longer delay.

It can be recalled that Daniel Craig has reportedly decided to drop out of the James Bond role after "Spectre" because of the pressure that came with the role. A wedding may interfere with Theo James' path to greater stardom seeing the success the role gave to former James Bond actors such as Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery.
