'Life Is Strange' Latest News: Episode 1 is Free and is out now on Steam; Free Download for PS4 and PS3

"Life Is Strange" is now out on Steam and is available for free download for PS4 and PS3. The game's first episode is also reportedly free.

The first episode is entitled "Chrysalis" and the five-part adventure focuses on the story of Max Caulfield. Basically, the game explores the complex issues of the character and her decision to follow the less travelled road as she makes her mark in the world. The choices to be made on "Life Is Strange" will be story-based and there will also be consequences.

How Does 'Life Is Strange' Work?

"Life Is Strange" could make players possibly changed their choices in a story that results to different paths and different endings.

The story of "Life Is Strange" is also about Max Caulfield returning to her hometown of Arcadia Bay in order to study photography at the well-known Blackwell Academy, Express reported. 

Max Caulfield will also witness a murder on campus and there she will discover that she can rewind time and alter the events from the past in an attempt to change the future. She will have a friend with her named Chloe Price and they will use her powers in order to investigate the disappearance of another character named Rachel Amber.

Episode 1: Chrysalis for 'Life Is Strange' is Free

The first episode of the game will be downloaded for free on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Max. Dontnod producer Luc Baghadoust said that the offer has no expiration and players do not have to have a PlayStation Plus subscription or Xbox Live Gold membership in order to take advantage of the episode 1's free download.

How Much are the Additional Episodes of 'Life Is Strange'?

The succeeding episodes of "Life is Strange" is said to be $5.29. They could be purchased from the PlayStation Store. Episode 2 is entitled "Out of Time," Episode 3 is called "Chaos Theory," Episode 4 is entitled "Dark Room" and the final episode is called "Polarized."

"Life Is Strange" has garnered a 95 out of 100 score from EGM and a 90 out of 100 score from PlayStation Official Magazine UK as well as Official Xbox Magazine UK.
