Rose Byrne Talks About Mothehood, 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Star Says It Is A Huge Responsibility

Australian Hollywood and theater actress Rose Byrne is a mother, with a six-month old son named Rocco with partner and fellow actor Bobby Cannavale. Byrne said being a mother to Rocco has changed her life and made her a better person

"You have this huge responsibility you didn't have before - there's someone you have to keep alive! I also like to think Rocco has brought out better qualities in me," said Byrne, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph. Byrne will be returning to Australia in November to star in a play and she's bringing her family with her.

Hello Magazine reported that Byrne said she and Cannavale, who have been in a relationship since 2012, have driven their friends "sick" as they keep talking about their son Rocco. "We're like, 'Ooh, he wasn't doing that yesterday - that's amazing!' I'm pretty sure everyone who knows us is sick of it."

The 37-year old X-Men: Apocalypse star was also quoted as saying that she turned to her mother and father for parenting advice on how take care of her young son and even became like them. "I was already becoming my parents, even before I had Rocco. You know how that happens? One day, you're like, 'I've turned into my parents!'"

Earlier in the year, news.com.au reported that Byrne faced the challenges of motherhood and was did not leave her apartment for three month. Byrne reportedly felt exhausted getting out of the house with her son, saying that it takes an hour and 45 minutes to get ready and that it was exhausting.

"I have a new appreciation for motherhood having just become a parent. Really, I've turned around a lot. It's actually very true all the stuff that you go through, all the cliches, which is a big surprise to me," Byrne had told the news outfit in May, three months after giving birth. "I'm tired, but even so, all of it's great. But you definitely go into a cocoon," Byrne added.
