NBA Trade Rumors: DeMarcus Cousins Joining Lakers Or Golden State Warriors When He Hits Free Agency In 2018

DeMarcus Cousins is one of the favorites when it comes to NBA trade rumors. The Sacramento Kings has been associated with tradeoffs and so is its center player, Cousins. According to recent reports, Cousins will be moving to Los Angeles Lakers or Golden State Warriors when he becomes a free agent in 2018.

DeMarcus Cousins teased in a tweet that his favorite NBA team growing up is Los Angeles Lakers. The controversial post triggers the report that the Sacramento Kings' center is moving to LA.

However, per iTechPost, DeMarcus Cousins still have a two-year contract with the Kings. Sacramento's General Manager Vlade Divac notes that the NBA professional player will stay with the Kings at least until his contract runs out.

There is no doubt that Divac wants to keep the superstar big man. DeMarcus Cousins is a great asset to Kings and while he is with them, he will be one of their strengths as Sacramento chase for their next NBA title.

Meanwhile, per Sports Rageous, DeMarcus Cousins will be an unrestricted free agent by 2018. If Kings will fail to improve in two-year time, the big man might move to another NBA team with a stronger lineup or he could join his favorite team, the LA Lakers.

On a side note, there are speculations that DeMarcus Cousins might join the super team, Golden State Warriors. Carlos Murillo of Fansided suggests that we might be seeing Cousins with the powerful quartet Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant in the next NBA season.

The report notes that DeMarcus Green is emotional that sometimes he gets frustrated. The NBA superstar remains great despite the Kings' incompetence and shoulders the team's failure. We might see him joining an even stronger team where his efforts will be more fruitful.

In addition, GSW is the hottest NBA team today. They get endorsements, magazine covers and more exposure. Thus, joining the Warriors will be a great business for De Marcus Cousins.

Also, DeMarcus Cousin will be 28 by then and on will be in his prime. He can help the Golden State Warriors win more NBA titles. He is the best big man at the time and will surely be a great company for Klay Thompson. Most of all, Boogie admitted that he loves the Warriors.
