Odin Lloyd's Mother, Ursula Ward, Forgives Aaron Hernandez After Guilty Verdict

The Odin Lloyd murder case has taken a surprising turn. Lloyd's beloved mother, Ursula Ward, has gotten it through her heart to forgive her son's murderer. Yahoo! Sports reported that in a courtroom at the Fall River, Massachusetts Justice Center, Ms. Ward bravely released this statement, "I forgive the hands of the people who had a hand in my son's murder, even before or after."

"And I pray and hope," she continued, "that someday everyone out there will forgive them also."

Ward stood in front of Bristol's country superior judge, Susan Garsh, as she spoke. Ward forgave the brutal criminal action despite her heartbreaking loss of a beloved son. Ward has been lost since Odin passed away. She narrated, "The day I laid my son Odin to rest, I felt my heart stop beating for a moment."

"I felt like I wanted to go into that hole with my son, Odin."

The jury in the Fall River court handed down the guilty verdict to Aaron Hernandez. The latter was convicted in association with Lloyd's murder in June 2013.

Hernandez played with the New England Patriots. He is a dad to an eight-month old daughter with fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins.

Lloyd was the former boyfriend of Shayanna's sister, Shaneah Jenkins. Ward had Shaneah by her side in the courtroom as the verdict was handed down to Hernandez.

CNN revealed that Lloyd was last seen alive on June 17, 2013 at around 2:30 in the morning. The victim was seen with the football player and his friends, Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace. The four men were seen in a silver colored rented Nissan Altima at the time. Later on in the day, a jogger came across Lloyd's corpse in a Massachusetts public park. The body had suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.

The prosecuting team described Hernandez as an insecure and narcissistic man. The footballer was said to be the type of person who'd want others to be appreciative of receiving attention from him. As such, he is a man able to commit a horrendous murder on anybody who disrespects him, the prosecution observed.

A minor act of seemingly disrespectfulness might have been Hernandez's motive for killing Lloyd, according to the prosecutors. They surmised that Lloyd might have said or done something that upset Hernandez. Consequently, the athlete conjured up a plan with his friends to brutally kill Lloyd.

Hernandez apparently controlled the actions of his friends, Carlos and Ernest. The athlete was found guilty for the said murder on Wednesday, according to The Boston Herald.
