Ariana Grande's Dad Gives Big Sean a Stern Warning About His 'D' [Rumors]

Ariana Grande's father, Edward Butera, allegedly left a stern warning on the Instagram account of his daughter's boyfriend, Big Sean. This was in reaction to the rapper's suggestive message on the same account.

According to Gawker, Big Sean, whose real name is Sean Michael Leonard Anderson, uploaded a selfie on the photo-sharing app with the accompanying caption, "I give her that D... #Detroit," which apparently did not escape the eye of Butera. The "D" alluded to Sean's hometown, but it may have also been a subtle reference to his penis.

Seeing the post, Butera replied, "that D. better be Detroit Sean" to note his displeasure over the reference. The pop star's father used the Instagram account @edward_butera, which used a photo of himself and his daughter as his profile. The account is set in private, but shows that it has over 270,000 followers.

But on his Twitter account, Butera, 56, said that the Instagram account was not his. This was further confirmed by Ariana's publicist, who said that the profile on the photo-sharing site is a fake, as reported by Refinery29.

Ariana Grande first shot to fame on Nickelodeon in 2010 as part of the cast of the children's program "Victorious", starring Victoria Justice. But the show was taken off the air two years later, following stories that Grande did not get along with the rest of the cast. Grande, in fact, hinted in an interview with Hollywood Life that there was indeed tension between her and the lead star.

Grande went on to chart a music career and has made a name for herself as a music artist. In 2013, she was honored as the "Breakthrough Artist of the Year" at the American Music Awards. In 2014, she was named "Best Female Artist" at the MTV Europe Music Awards. She also earned Grammy nominations this year.

While her career is on the up and up, her romantic dalliances has been nothing but high-profile. Before dating Big Sean, Grande dated singer Nathan Skyes and Australian entertainer, Jai Brooks.

She and Sean started dating in October 2014, admitting to the relationship in an interview with The Telegraph. "He is one of the most amazing men in the whole world, and that includes my grandfather and my brother. I think the world of him, and he's an amazing person. That's kind of all there is to it," Ariana said in the interview.
