John Legend, Chrissy Teigen Parenting Tips: Couple Share How Commitment To Baby Luna Changed Their Marriage

Since having Luna last April, parents John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been constantly gushing about her baby girl. The celebrities clearly have so much love for their first-born, but they also revealed that Luna's arrival changed their marriage.

John Legend said that becoming a parent has underscored how "all-encompassing" the commitment is to have children. He admitted that he spends most of his time thinking and ensuring that Luna is okay and well-taken cared for. Needless to say, he thinks about his daughter's needs and future all the time and this has become the dynamics of his marriage to Chrissy Teigen.

John Legend further explained that being a parent requires a different commitment compared to being a husband or wife, as little children are totally dependent on their parents. "It definitely makes you realize a heightened level of responsibility," the multi-awarded singer said, per Entertainment Weekly.

No doubt, the hit maker loves being a father to Luna and in fact, his daughter has inspired him to write a new song about having children for his next album. "The subject matter is you just thinking about what it means to have a child, and when you bring a child into this world," John Legend further said in the interview.

Meanwhile, as far as parenting commitments are concerned, Luna's mom confessed that she and her husband are learning how to swim for the first time. Chrissy Teigen said that she and John didn't have a lot of exposure in the water when they were growing up, but they are now doing this all for the sake of Luna.

Chrissy Teigen revealed that as parents, they wanted to do this so that they can get in the water with their baby together. "I just want to make sure that she feels that she can cope with it," the model and TV host said, per Female First.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen married in 2013 and didn't hide the fact that they struggled to have a child, per USA Today. After trying via IVF, Luna Simone Stephens was born on April 14, 2016.
