'Criminal Minds' Season 12 Latest News & Update: Thomas Gibson Gets Fired After Altercation; CBS Tired Of Actor's Behavior

Thomas Gibson and the rest of "Criminal Minds" fans got shocked when the shows lead actor got fired on Friday (August 12). This is in continuation of the fight Gibson had with their producer.

It appears that Thomas Gibson had a physical altercation with a "Criminal Minds" producer during the week. CBS firstly suspended Gibson for two weeks but then changed its decision by firing the actor.

The alleged altercation involved creative differences that led Thomas Gibson to kick the producer. This was not the first time a disagreement like this happened in "Criminal Minds" set. A few years ago, Thomas Gibson had to attend anger management classes because he shoved an assistant director, Yahoo TV reported.

It seems that ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios had enough and instead of giving Thomas Gibson his last chance, they decided to just let him go. Although there are no exact details on how his character will exit the show as well but CBS also has plans on how they will do this at a later date.

"Criminal Minds" is one of CBS top shows and Thomas Gibson was even with the show when it first started in 2005. His character as Special Agent Aaron Hotchner was a regular mainstay and fans are unsure what would happen to the show now that two of its main leading man is gone. Apparently, Shemar Moore also announced his surprise departure from "Criminal Minds."

"I love Criminal Minds and have put my heart and soul into it for the last 12 years," Thomas Gibson who was also sorry about the incident said. "I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won't be possible now."

The actor also thanked his producers, writers the actors and the crew for putting up with him. He also took the opportunity to thank the fans who have always been supportive of "Criminal Minds."
