'Arrows' Actor Colton Hayes Blamed For Father's Suicide After Coming Out as Gay

"Arrows" actor Colton Haynes opened up about his gender orientation wherein he publicly came out as gay. Though Haynes may have received positive feedback, there are those who dragged him to the ground as they even blamed him for his father's suicide.

The "Teen Wolf" actor opened up about his struggles in terms of his sexuality. Colton Haynes opens up to OUT about what he went through after going out of the closet. Colton Haynes stated that he felt bad for holding his true identity, most especially with the fact that he works in Hollywood.

"I feel really bad that I had to lie for so long. But I was told that was the only way I was going to be successful," Haynes told the magazine. "When you're young in this industry, people take advantage of you, and they literally tell you that your dreams are going to come true. If you believe that, you'll do anything."

Colt Haynes then added that one of the things that hurt him the most was when he was blamed his father's death. He stated that he almost lost it as nobody truly knows why his father placed a bullet on his head. Things then got worst for Colton as he eventually with his sister from Florida to Texas.

"I was told that my dad killed himself because he found out I was gay. So, of course, I lost it and was like, 'How could you say something like that?' And no one will ever really know the truth," Colton Haynes recalled. "But my brother and my mom went to pick up my dad's stuff, and the only picture on his fridge was my eighth-grade graduation picture."

Colton Haynes first came out during his interview with E! News. The 27-year-old actor managed to reveal his true identity wherein he became an inspiration for teenagers struggling with the issue in terms of showing the world who they really are.
