Nikki Reed Ian Somerhalder Wedding: Dress, Guests & More!

Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are now a married couple. Hollywood Life has the exclusive photos of the day they became one. Fans just could not help but notice Nikki's white colored lace gown. Of course, the backless design also did its share in attracting onlookers, as well.

Nikki donned a special "Elizabeth" themed gown the day she wed Somerhalder. This uniquely designed dress captured attention with its lace sleeves and artistically designed boatneck.

Wedding gown designer Claire Pettibone had praises to say about designing Nikki's dress for the big day. 

"Nikki was a delight to design for, and I wish the beautiful couple every happiness," the designer shared. 

Word has it that Nikki's wedding dress stood out as being "classic." It looked more traditional than that she wore on her wedding to now ex-husband, Paul McDonald. Nikki's first wedding gown was famously known for its strapless, embellished bodice design. 

Nikki and Ian were married on Sunday after having dated for only 9 months, according to ET Online. The couple was engaged three months ago.

According to Time.com, on the day of the wedding, Somerhalder tweeted:

"Most beautiful morning ever."

Before her now husband awarded her in a ceremony for her goodwill work done with animals, Nikki told the press in February: 

"What's actually, I think, nurtured this long friendship that we've had is that we are passionate about similar things."

Nikki did admit she and her husband brainstorming how to make things better in this world. She revealed:

"We do wake up in the morning and talk about those things."

"Vampire Diaries" actress, Kat Graham, marveled at the perfect relationship of the Hollywood power couple in an interview with People magazine. She said: 

"I haven't met two people that were more of soul mates than those guys."

"They literally are perfect - from their Humane Society work together to them wanting to make the world a better place,"

"I mean, it's really exciting when you see two people come together that are amazing."

Sunday's wedding marked the first marriage for the "Vampire Diaries" cast member groom. Nikki announced her separation from first husband, McDonald, on March 2014. McDonald and Reed were married in 2011. McDonald was an eighth finalist in the the tenth season of "American Idol".
