"Girl Meets World" Season 3 will conclude with an episode titled "World Meets Girl." Production for the latest season of the Disney Channel series is done, but the network still has not announced whether the show would be renewed for another season.

In an interview with a network representative, it was revealed that "Girl Meets World" Season 3 will air episodes till 2017. As for the plans beyond that, however, the representative admitted that the network has not discussed anything about it yet, reports TV Line.

This led to speculations that "GMW" Season 3 will be the series finale. Rowan Blanchard, who plays Riley in the series, was previously seen crying after filming her last scene for Season 3 in a behind-the-scenes photo.

There are, however, fans that remain optimistic that "Girl Meets World" Season 4 would happen on Disney Channel or another network. Carter Matt notes that Freeform has been one of the fans' top choice of network because it has a good number of shows that resemble the series such as "Baby Daddy."

Moving to Freeform would also allow "Girl Meets World" Season 4 to touch up on mature topics now that Riley-Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter)-Josh (Uriah Shelton) have decided to enter a relationship. It is believed that Disney Channel would ultimately arrive at a decision once the show's finale episode airs on TV.
