Jessica Alba Reveals The Secret to Hot Body & How to Get Kids Eat Veggies

Jessica Alba is letting fans in on her secret to having a great post-baby body. However, US Magazine revealed that the star still satisfies her cravings for food without failing to stay in shape.

Alba said in an interview with US Weekly on Wednesday that after having kids, she shied away from being worried about her image. Alba confessed it felt comfortable to just let things flow naturally. "I'm more comfortable in my own skin than I was before," she shared.

"I was much more kind of fussy and nitpicky about imperfections before I had kids and now it's like, 'Hey, it is what it is' and you just kind of have to own it, right?"

Alba is mom to daughters Honor and Haven.

She said she gets to enjoy her kids by balancing things appropriately in her family's life. The actress revealed her secret to eating and dieting properly to US Magazine. "I try to eat fairly healthy as far as like organic and fresh, but I don't stay away from any foods," she revealed. "I don't eat a lot of processed foods - maybe that's kind of the biggest thing - but it's not like I never eat processed. Like, I love chips, and I love snacks and stuff, I just don't eat a lot of it."

As for entering her mid-thirties, Alba had this to say about being older and wiser. "I think you just have a different mentality on what really matters, the older you get," she said.

The actress celebrated her 34th birthday on Tuesday. E! Online reported that Alba admitted to indulging on the presents she got for her special day from her two daughters.

She shared the tricks she applies in making her kids eat vegetables. Cash Warren's other half said, "I make them just try it, even if they don't like it."

"Honor is like 'I don't like mushrooms,' and I'm like, 'Well, just have one bite.' I just figure if I keep, once a week or once every other week, have her at least try it again and try it again and try it again, maybe we'll have a break through moment," she added. "But, it's not an option for them to eat vegetables. It's like you have to eat vegetables in your meal somehow or else you're gonna be in deep trouble!"

Alba manages "Honest," an environmentally-friendly lifestyle brand, according to USA Today.
