NBA Rumors: LeBron James Thinks Gregg Popovich Is The Best Coach; Willing To Play For Spurs?

There is no doubt that LeBron James is one of the best man in the NBA league today. His success is even likened to the living NBA legend Michael Jordan. Although James has a multi-million deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, reports have it that the player might play for San Antonio Spurs in the future.

According to Fox Sports, the NBA MVP LeBron James won two NBA titles under Erik Spoelstra of Miami Heat. LeBron James also won two Olympic gold medals while playing for Mike Krzyzewski. However, for the NBA superstar, the best coach in the NBA history is someone he has not played for yet.

LeBron James missed the Rio Olympics but the four-time NBA MVP told ESPN Rachel Nichols per USA Today that for him coach Krzyzewski and Gregg Popovich are two of his favorites coaches of all time and added that he wanted to play for the said coaches. The two was the coaches for team USA in the recently concluded Rio Olympics.

At the time Gregg Popovich is the head coach of San Antonio Spurs, which triggers reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers small forward is willing to leap to Spurs. However, not so fast because James' statement of playing for Popovich is not for the NBA league but for the next Olympics.

But this also does not mean that LeBron James is not really considering San Antonio Spurs in his future career in the NBA league. It is difficult to tell James' choices in the future. At the time, what we are certain of is that LeBron James will be playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the next NBA season and will be staying with the team for the next three years.

Parent Herald previously reported that LeBron James signed a $100 million contract with Cleveland Cavaliers. He is set to receive $31 million in the upcoming NBA 2016-17 season, $33 million in the NBA 2017-18 season and $36 million in the NBA 2018-19 season.
