NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Targeting DeMarcus Cousins, Nerlens Noel and Marcin Gortat; Kevin Love To Move Out?

After winning the 2016 NBA Championship, the Cleveland Cavaliers are searching for a legitimate Center that can protect the paint and clean the boards for them. Nerlens Noel, DeMarcus Cousins or Marcin Gortat would be the possible key for the Cavs.

The Cavaliers struggles to protect the paint over the last season, fortunately, Tristan Thompson was able to provide them the rebounding area through the finals. The Cavaliers are now in pursuit of a legit center that will provide them rim protection and a glass cleaner and Nerlens Noel is the Cav's top prospect. Noel would be a great fit to the Cleveland Cavaliers due to his vertical capacity, his height and defensive ability, considering he is still very young and lots of potential awaits him.

Another prospect is DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings. Yibada states that Kevin Love needs to be thrown to the Kings and since Love's salary is bigger than Cousins, McClemor might also be a part of the trade while the Kings are also looking to move him out. Aside from the fact that Cousins is the only current NBA player playing a traditional post-up center, he can rebound and pass off the post which makes him a threat in the painted area and is Cousins will be added to the roster of Cleveland, the Cavaliers might win a back-to-back title.

Now, on the other hand, ChattSportsNet said that Marcin Gortat is a good fit to the Cavaliers since the Wizards are also looking to move Gortat as they already got Ian Mahinmi which is younger. Gortat needs to move out of the Wizards and bring his talent to a new team, the Cavaliers will be a great fit being a face-up center.

As the 2017 NBA season is getting near, the Cleveland Cavaliers need to prepare a killer roster to defend their title. Only few teams are contending, but the competition is heavy, the Knicks and Bulls of the east are both the team to beat this season for the NBA Eastern Conference before the Cavaliers can face the fearsome Dubs of San Francisco, the Golden State Warriors.
