'Daredevil' Season 3 Air Date & News: How 'The Defenders' Will Influence Charlie Cox's Solo Series Next Season

"Daredevil" Season 3 is apparently going to pick up some bits about teamwork from "The Defenders." The show's star, Charlie Cox, confirmed that "Daredevil's" upcoming season is going to influence changes in Matt Murdoch (Cox) because of his participation in the other series.

In a panel discussion during the recent Wizard World Chicago event, Charlie Cox talked about how "The Defenders" will affect his Marvel superhero character. The actor said that Matt Murdoch/Daredevil will realize that he can't fight crimes alone. "So whatever lessons he learns in The Defenders will then play into I think season three," Cox explained, per MCU Exchange. In the last season of "Daredevil," the character spent much of the time fighting the enemy without the people close to him -- such as Foggy and Karen -- knowing about it.

The first season of "The Defenders" is expected to arrive on Netflix sometime in 2017, while "Daredevil" Season 3 is speculated to be released in 2018. Hence, Cox's Matt Murdoch will truly have enough time to process how teamwork actually helps in his causes and missions.

Joining Matt Murdoch/Daredevil in "The Defenders" are Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand as the Iron Fist. Netflix also has solo series for each of the characters. "Luke Cage" will debut this September, while "Jessica Jones" Season 2 and "Iron Fist" Season 1 are coming out in 2017 also.

Meanwhile, Charlie Cox also talked about how these shows are actually crossing over without the actors even realizing it. He related how one time on the set of "Daredevil," he was filming with Rosario Dawson, who plays Claire Temple, and she had a cut on her brows. Apparently, it had nothing to do with our world but it's part of "Luke Cage," revealed Cox, per Screen Crush. Dawson had also been working on "Luke Cage" at that time.

As fans of the Marvel comic books the shows are based on know, all these character operate in Hell's Kitchen in New York. So, it's not farfetched how the TV shows could be tied together as well. Watch and listen to Charlie Cox talk about "Daredevil" Season 3 in the video below.
