Love Taking Selfies? New Fujifilm XA3 Model Is Mirrorless, Fast; Latest Lens Is Waterproof

Fujifilm fan or not, selfie lovers and photographers alike will enjoy the latest version of the XA3 model of the brand. The latest version is said to be a selfie powerhouse, fast, and mirrorless. Along with that is a new lens that is said to be waterproof.

In the promo video that Fujifilm created, it showed the features of XA3, which is part of the X-A series best known for being mirrorless and having solid lenses. In the promo video, it could be seen that it also has a touch-screen feature but the main updates as compared to XA2, XA3's sensor is a whopping 24.2-megapixel model. The previous version only had 16. With this, the focus modes have been expanded.

The XA3, however, appeal to the casual buyers who are not too strict when it comes to the specifications and features. Tech Crunch reported that the interchangeable lens pile is not a wow factor for professional photographers but those who want to enjoy a selfie would love the Fujifilm XA3. More on the selfie feature, the rear LCD could be flipped up and the camera will automatically hunt for a person's eyes to focus on.

The Verge reported that the Fujifilm XA3 series will be easier to use at arm's length making the camera have the same feel as when people take selfies using mobile phones. A smile detection feature is also part of the Fujifilm XA3.

Aside from this another feature of the Fujifilm XA3 is the 77-point autofocus system. The latest model in the X-A series will be available in colors of brown, pink, or silver coming out this October. It will be sold at $600 with the 16-50 mm f3.5-5.6 OIS II kit lens.

Together with the Fujifilm XA3 model, the company also released a new lens. One could buy the 23mm F/2, which is waterproof. People interested in the new lens have to spend $450. It is said to be compatible with all of Fujifilm's interchangeable lens X-series cameras.

The new lens is available this September and can focus in 0.05 seconds when used with the much-loved X-Pro2 and X-T2 models.
