Google Nexus 2016 Prices, Latest Specs Via Renders Leaked?

It is only a matter of time for the highly-anticipated new Google Nexus devices to be released. But while that is yet to come, prices and new renders have been leaked online, which reveal the specs of HTC Marlin and Sailfish.

The two Google Nexus 2016 devices are being produced by HTC, codenamed Marlin and Sailfish. U.S. FCC has recently certified the new Nexus smartphones. AnTuTu has also benchmarked the new mobile phones. According to reports, which should be noted came from unofficial sources, HTC Marlin and Sailfish will be priced a little bit more expensive than their predecessors. Phone Arena has learned that Google Nexus Marlin at 32GB will be sold for $599, while Nexus Sailfish will be available for $499. It can be remembered that when Nexus 5X was released, the 32GB model came with a price tag of $429, while Nexus 6P 32GB was priced at $499.

Meanwhile, the latest renders of this year's Google Nexus devices were leaked on Chinese website Weibo. As reported by Android Headlines, the images leaked what the HTC Marlin and Sailfish would look like. The new Nexus phones are made of metallic frame that is placed between two sheets of glass. Measuring 5 inches, they feature a full HD (1920 X 1080) display, with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 and 64-bit quad-core SoC, as well as Adreno 530 GPU.

Similar to the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the power/lock button and the volume rocker keys are placed on the right-hand side. The fingerprint scanner is placed at the back of the device, along with a 13-megapixel camera, while the front camera has 8 megapixels quality. They have a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top of the phone, while the bottom has the Type-C USB and two sets of speaker grills. They will also carry a 2,770mAh battery. HTC Marlin and HTC Sailfish will be available in silver, black and gold colors.

As before, the latest Nexus devices are expected to come out of the box with the latest Android OS. Android 7.0 Nougat has just been released, but Parent Herald has earlier learned that Google Nexus 2016 might come with Android 7.1 Nougat, when it finally launched in October.
