MTV VMA 2016: Beyoncé Slayed the Night While Rihanna and Drake Ignited Their Relationship Rumors

Queen B dominated the MTV Video Music Awards 2016. Beyoncé slayed her performance as wowed the crowd leaving them speechless.

Beyoncé made the headlines as she slayed the MTV Music Awards 2016. Queen B was nominated for 11 awards, and managed to bring home eight. Her "Frontline" video earned her "Frontman" music video won the video of the year, which is one of the awards that is highly looked upon according to BBC.

Aside from taking home numerous awards, Beyoncé also managed to impress the crowd with her performance. She performed a 16 minute medley of the songs from her "Lemonade" album.

The 34-year old singer managed to stand victorious for the VMS despite being caught with several controversies involving her relationship with her husband, Jay-Z. Speculations even emerged that her "Lemonade" album was entirely based on the couple's love story.

Aside from Beyoncé, the RnB singer Rihanna also bagged an award. She was given the honor to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. One of the surprises that she got was the fact that the Canadian rapper Drake was the one who handed her the trophy.

Drake also managed to give her the award that sparked speculations. Rihanna and Drake are said to be in a rumored relationship, which caused their fans to shriek as they'd both make a good couple. Though speculations have been brewing since 2010, the rumored couple has yet to comment on their relationship. To ignite the flame regarding their rumored relationship, it was also announced that they both kissed on the lips when he handed her the award.

Drake, however, seems to be vocal in terms of this fascination with RiRi. While he introduced her, Drake managed to tell the world that he's been in-love with the singer since he was 22 as per TIME's report.

"She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me."
