'Orange is the New Black' Season 5 Spoilers: 'OITNB' Not Cancelled; Deaths of Piper and Humphrey Confirmed

Netflix was reported to cancel "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. However, this report is not true since "Orange is the New Black" is still renewed until Season 7.

The news regarding "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 cancellation came from TMZ Uncut. Snopes, on the other hand, debunked the news and confirmed that the TV Series will still continue with Netflix behind it.  

"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 will begin with the aftermath of Poussey's death. The Litchfield inmates are all bewildered over the death of Poussey. While Samira Wiley who plays Poussey permanently left her character in "Orange is the New Black" Season 4, new characters will also join in for the fifth season with also Sophia (Laverne Cox) returning for Season 5.

Parent Herald reported that the upcoming "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 will bring in more deaths. The unpredictability of "OITNB" also made it difficult who will be cut off in the fifth season. It seems that the death of Poussey brings in more questions on whether a favorite character like Piper might be the next to die this coming season.

Tyler Schilling who plays Piper in the Netflix series admitted that it is going to be a tough year for Piper. When asked by Pop Sugar about her fate in the show or if she would die in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5, she responded that she still does not know.

Another character that might not even be in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 is Humphrey played by Michael Tropey. During the finale of "OITNB" Season 4, viewers were left with a cliffhanger on whether Daya (Dascha Polanco) pulled the trigger or not.

Fans of "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 will have to wait for its official air date on June 2017. Those who want to binge watch "OITNB" can watch the show on Netflix.
