"Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoilers reveal that the Adult Swim series may be back sooner than Mr. Poopy Butthole said in the season 2 finale's post credits. According to Geek, series creator Dan Harmon said during the Magic City Comic Con that fans will not have to wait till March 2017 to get new episodes of the show.

Harmon said during the interview that they are expecting to see "Rick and Morty" Season 3 premiere in late 2016. However, the end of the year is closely approaching, but fans have not yet heard of anything with regard to the return of the show.

The only update fans received recently was a "Rick and Morty" Season 3 trailer. This could be a good indication, however, that the Adult Swim series is close to releasing new episodes of the show later this year.

Meanwhile, iDigitalTimes notes that the show's writers recently reacted to a question regarding the cob joke that was mentioned in "Rick and Morty" Season 2. Co-creator Justin Roiland responded to the question and said that answering that would kill off any humor that was meant for the joke.

Writer Dan Guterman also explained on Twitter that he was the one responsible for writing the cob joke. According to him, those who cannot understand the humor behind that scenario in "Rick and Morty" should watch a different show instead.
