‘Pokémon GO’ Tips & Tricks On Defeating Snorlax: The Best Pokémon To Use

Snorlax is one of the most powerful monsters in "Pokémon GO." The Pokémon's intimidating size makes facing it in Gyms scary. Snorlax may be hard to bring down during battles, but it's certainly not unbeatable.

Snorlax's CP, or Combat Points, can go as high as 3112.85, according to Ranked Boost. The Normal-Type Pokémon's base attack is 180, base defense is 180, and base stamina is 320. Snorlax can be hatched from a 10 KM Egg, with 1778 CP as its perfect IV hatch.

Snorlax is weakest against Fighting-Type Pokémon such as Machamp, but it doesn't have any hard counters due to advantage, damage formula, move inequality, and distribution of moves among Pokémon, according to a YouTube video by TrainerTips. In the video that you can watch below, it was said that there's no one Pokémon that excels at beating Snorlax.

However, "Pokémon GO" players can also use the proper combination of monsters to defeat Snorlax. Those monsters should be the strongest Pokémon you have.

A Reddit user named RedWarpPrism compiled a list of Pokémon that can possibly defeat Snorlax. Among them is Vaporeon, a Water-Type Pokémon.

It will take around 50 seconds of Vaporeon's Water Gun and Hydro Pump moves to bring down Snorlax. That is longer than the time Machamp takes to defeat Snorlax. The latter, on the other hand, will have to Headbutt Vaporeon 31 times to defeat it, whereas Machamp needs 19 times of Headbutts to succumb to Snorlax.

Dragonite is the best Pokémon to dodge Snorlax's attacks, a feat that Machamp is bad at. This is surprising, given that Fighting-Type Pokémon like Machamp is presumably excellent at Gym battles.

Dodging is also an important matter in defeating Snorlax. According to Reddit's RedWarpPrism, the attacking Pokémon should dodge a Zen Headbutt, for instance, because it has -50 percent damage for +20 percent in time.

Snorlax's Lick move, meanwhile, inflicts about -25 percent damage and +20 percent time. It's best for "Pokémon GO" players to not dodge the Lick move if they want to finish the battle quickly.

Snorlax's other effective attacks and charge moves are Body Slam (29 DPS or damage per second), Hyper Beam (27 DPS), and Earthquake (more than 21 DPS), Pokémon GO Hub listed. Lick/Ghost has 10 DPS and Zen Headbutt/Psychic has more than 10 DPS.

Other Pokémon that can defeat Snorlax are Arcanine, Flareon, Victreebel, Wigglytuff, Alakazam, Exeggutor, Gyarados, Venusaur, Poliwrath, Lapras, and its fellow Snorlax. Stay tuned to Parent Herald for the latest "Pokémon GO" news, tips, and tricks.
