It seems like divorce and splitting up are now in season! After "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" co-actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced their divorce last week, another couple has lost the spark. Eleven years of being together does not guarantee that you'll be together. Take a look at Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts who recently called it quits.

Fans and colleagues were shocked over the announcement, knowing that Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts had been together for a very long time already. "It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship," the couple told E! News.

With that being said, it must be a consensus that the two decided for the welfare of everybody. The couple also said that the only way to move forward is for them to split. Though the "Salt" actor and the Naomi Watts never wed, they were blessed with two children, Sasha and Samuel.

There are no other explanations as to why the couple decided to go separate ways. They should have thought of this as the children are too young to understand. Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts were seen happy recently at the Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.

But during the Emmy's Naomi Watts was nowhere near Liev Schreiber. The actor took his son, Sasha, to the red carpet. Just like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the family asked for privacy during this tough time.

According to the US Weekly, the split was unprecedented and unexpected. Lieve Schreiber even talked about their relationship in the recent Toronto International Film Festival and said: "It's all about patience, and we got lucky enough to work together."
