Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to Make a Comeback on 'Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined'?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have been history, but recent speculations emerged that the duo could possibly make a comeback on the big screen. It was recently hinted that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson could possibly return for the "Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined" movie.

Stephenie Meyer came up with a new novel, "Twilight Reimagined" wherein the author switched the genders of the original "Twilight" novel. News 18 revealed that the story follows a teenage boy, Beaufort Swan and his fascination with a mysterious female vampire, Edythe Cullen.

"I wanted to do something fun for the 10th anniversary and the publisher wanted like a foreword and I thought," Meyer said. "Well, maybe something more interesting.' It's always bothered me a little bit. Because anyone surrounded by superheroes is going to be in distress. We don't have the powers. I thought, 'What if we switched it around a bit and see how a boy does,' and, you know, it's about the same."

The new novel may keep the "Twilight" readers busy for quite some time, but movie fanatics can help but ask if their favorite vampires will make it back to the big screen. During an exclusive interview with Screen Daily, Patrick Wachsberger, co-chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, was asked if there is a possibility of another Kristen Stewart-Robert Pattinson tandem. Wachsberger then answered that the decision in regards to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's comeback depends on the "Twilight" writer, Stephenie Meyer.

"It's a possibility," Wachsberger said. "Not a certainty but it's a possibility. It's about Stephenie [novelist Stephenie Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we're here for her."

As for Kristen Stewart, the "Twilight" actress shared that she is open to see someone else play her role as Bella in case "Twilight" would have a reboot. During her interview with UPROXX, Stewart shared that she is interested in seeing someone play the role that she once took part of.

"Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It's hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn't mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people wanted to? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you, I would be interested. I'd be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn't emotionally affect me one way or the other."
