NBA News and Rumors: Tim Duncan To The Spurs With Gregg Popovich; Duncan Attended The Spurs Training Camp

Tim Duncan was reportedly staying with the San Antonio Spurs for a coaching job besides Head Coach Gregg Popovich. Duncan also appeared at the Spurs training camp while the team held their practice.

After retirement, Tim Duncan can't resist helping his team in any way he can. According to USA Today, the Spurs might give Duncan an official role where he will be joining Gregg Popovich to coach the San Antonio Spurs. Though no specific role yet, Coach Popovich joked that Duncan can coach whatever he feels. Tim Duncan's role is still unclear, though it Popovich announced that Duncan will be staying with the Spurs.

On the other hand, Tim Duncan appeared in the Spurs training camp last Wednesday. He joined the team shooting practice and have a minor body workout. Tim Duncan had a small talk with the newly acquired Dewayne Dedmon, citing that Duncan gave him some tips on how to communicate with the team when it comes on defense as per ESPN reports. During the Spurs training camp, Gregg Popovich joked again that he will fine Duncan $2,500 per absence.

According to the CBS Sports, Duncan's relationship with the team is very mutual, especially to Gregg Popovich which is a father to him during his NBA career. Tim Duncan is still living around San Antonio that gives him a total attachment with the organization even he was already retired.
